If you are interested in collaborating, please feel free to contact me. Magazine ad illustration This is a series of illustrations for the monthly Bungei Shunju magazine. The client Hotel Okura Tokyo, is a symbol of modern-style Japan, and together with the project leader. I covered the hotel in a variety of ways, including interviews with hotel staff and chefs, skating concepts and tastings. We completed the wold view of the advertisement while valuing the spirit that the hotel has cultivated over the years. Gold foil design illustration From initial concept meetings to the first thumbnail sketches to the final illustration, we ensure that the project always proceeds efficiently. In this piece, we illustrated a delicate harp, a musical instrument, with gold foil and embossing that evokes the elegance of Ginza, and good old-fashioned letterpress printing that gives a tactile feel, creating a memorable impression on the user. Characters and Portraits Since I was a child, I loved imagining characters and dreamed of becoming a professional artist, so this project was the perfect opportunity for me. The character, Clover, a medical intern, pops out of my head and starts talking. The supporting character, Paulo, also came about naturally.
